Here’s another little side moment that really speaks to me. It’s a thousand little moments like these that really tell the story of the wedding day.
I saw the flower girl playing in the revolving door. The strong afternoon sun cast streamed in casting long, intense shadows across the floor while rendering the dark interior practically black. Round and round she went. I quietly crouched down to her eye level with a long lens and shot maybe six shots before she even knew I was there.
This is, by far, my favorite. There is a left/right symmetry that gives the composition a certain static feeling, yet we know that she is actually in motion. That contrast creates something of a fine-art composition that isn’t always easy to come by in the hectic pace to cover wedding day events.
