Watching The Family Grow

One of the greatest things about being a wedding photographer is witnessing the start of a new family and watching it grow through the years. I photographed Heather and Bohan’s wedding, then their maternity portraits, now portraits of their beautiful baby.

I’m generally known for my wedding work, but I’ve been expanding my portrait work significantly in the last year or so. Unlike traditional portrait photographers, however, I try to bring some of my documentary approach to the table and capture a more natural, less posed look (I’m just not into the traditional “family pyramid” pose). That includes capturing little details and moments such as hands.
