Ahh, it’s good to see spring at last, after such a long, hard winter. Friday at Tower Grove Park with Kellie and Joe we found this beautiful flowering dogwood with an extremely interesting trunk. It seems as though it was made for photography.
Shot wide open with my 85mm f/1.4 lens (my best friend) I was able to render the buds and background in a soft, painterly blur while Kellie and Joe stand out. This is the very reason I love my fast prime lenses as opposed to shooting with nothing but zooms.
